Bitten...

Last night was the midnight release of Stephenie Meyer's new book Breaking Dawn. It wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but the night ended with a bang. And a great one! At 11:45 they had everyone line up in order of the color wristbands we were all wearing. Siera and I were the second group of fifty people so we figured we would be a while. They were yelling off raffle ticket numbers to kill some time before midnight, but no one was interested, and you couldn't hear any of the numbers they were saying. All of the sudden a Border's worker stands on the cashier table and yells out for a Lauren Mortenson. I'm standing there in shock, thinking something is wrong, or they have the wrong person...? I had no idea. I went up to the front to her and she gave me a wristband and told me that I was the lucky winner to get the second book for the night. Of course I'm thinking this is a mistake because I never bought a raffle ticket. As confused as I was I agreed and stood at the front of the line. A few minutes later they counted down to midnight and the chaos started. I stood there confused and lost when all of the sudden I saw Straton standing next to me, dressed perfectly like Edward, promises to love me forever, and gets down on his knee! At this point I was in la la land as everyone in the whole store (all 1200 of them) start cheering and snapping pictures everywhere! It was the best proposal ever! I didn't expect it whatsoever and it was such an awesome suprise! Ohhh how I love this boy. Can't wait to be Mrs. Gerber! =)
P.S. He set up a little romantic desert afterwards that was delicious, but you have to notice what's on the table. An apple for Twilight, a rose (the same one to be exact), for New Moon, and a ribbon for Eclipse! I know...he's perfect.
And the picture of my ring from the side shows the detail he added. One side is a blue sapphire for my birthstone, and his birthstone on the other side. So pretty!

The Boy

Straton and I at the Alpine Slides in Park City and him in one of his uniforms for work. This picture of him is mainly for Aunt Jan's benefit! He doesn't have his shirt off...but he looks dang good!! haha!

Park City

Straton and I went to Park City to spend the day just messing around and to go on the Alpine Slides. Way fun! To expensive...but I had a blast. On the way home we stopped in Layton to eat at Famous Dave's BBQ restaurant. We both had never been there but I recommend it! We both thought we had a huge appetite apparently, so we got the second biggest thing on the menu! And when we got it we had to take pictures because it was huge! Needless to say...we had a very full take home box. ;-)

Oh Sweet Boy!

Straton sent me the most BEAUTIFUL flowers to my WORK on Monday. They made me blush so much and all the girls were jealous. =) ha!
